Awards...

The New Zealand film and television industry's awards system dissolved in 2002 and when the film played in November 2003 there were no New Zealand awards.

In 2005, to fill the obvious void the Screen Directors' Guild took the initiative and arranged and organised a new system - the New Zealand Screen Awards, which looked back over both 2003 and 2004 at its first awards evening in July2005.

Murder On the Blade? won the 'Best Documentary’.

The film was also accepted for and presented at the prestigious 'INPUT' documentary festival held in Barcelona in Jun 2005
